Diamond Jaxx End the Season With A Win

The West Tenn Diamond Jaxx got a complete game six hitter by J.R. Mathes as the Diamond Jaxx closed out the 2006 Southern League season with a 4-1 win over the Chattanooga Lookouts.
Mathes (10-8) pitched his third complete game of the season, throwing just eighty-eight pitches. He received plenty of offense as the Jaxx banged out eleven hits in the win. Chris Walker, Richard Lewis, Jake Fox and Tony Richie had two hits each while Lewis and Brandon Sing drove in two runs each.
Chattanooga starter Camilo Vazquez (3-5) was saddled with the loss. He allowed four runs on nine hits in four innings of work. Drew Anderson drove in the only run with a double in the third inning.
The Diamond Jaxx finish the 2006 Southern League season with an overall record of 75-65.
